Looking for an Owner's Manual / User Guide?
Did you know that many appliances bearing the same name are produced
by different manufacturers? For example, a lot of Kenmore
dishwashers are made by Whirlpool and Frigidaire, while
certain Maytag washers were produced by Samsung.
Service and repair manuals often refer to the original base model before it was rebranded.

GE Microwave PVM1870SM1SS
The unit will not heat food, but I have power to everything else. I found the HV capacitor was shorted and a 20amp 250V fuse was open. The magnetron ohms is correct and not shorted to the case. I checked the thermosensors and found one normally closed and one normally open. Without a schematic I am concerned about the thermosensor that reads open and if this is correct. I think the HV transformer is ok but will find out when I replace the capacitor and fuse.
Do you own this unit? Please describe repair issue you are having.
