black rice size specks all over the dishes and tub

It has run absolutely trouble free for 16 years. It cleans to perfection. The bottom rack has a lot of chipped paint on this, rust under that. Years ago I put epoxy on the failed paint parts. I don't know if this has a cleanout screen. Thanks in advance. Mike
