maytag dishwasher model MDB7709AWW2

Where to begin.. First the pros, inside is stainless steel, very roomy quite. Cons: used the unit 10 times over 5 years, the control panel malfunctioned. Not knowing that was the problem, we paid a technician 294.00 for parts and labor and service call. My understanding is Maytag sold out to Whirlpool in 2009 and the quality is very poor on the control electronics. Now why would I repair this again. Maytag used to be the best, in fact I have older Maytag appliances that have had very minor repairs for a much longer period, like about 20 yrs, and they are used continuisly..
