We bought the Kenmore microwave in 2001 and after 13 years of constant use the element (which cooks the food) stopped working 100 percent of the time. Our family has been very pleased with this appliance's performance and have had no other issues. All other aspects still work. We will buy another Kenmore as long as the price is right!

19 years. Made a buzzing noise and stopped. Checked receptacle & it is fine. It was recently vented to the outside several months ago. Have had no problems whatsoever before this.

We have never had problems with this unit. It has been used pretty much every day. I had it vented to the outside in December when I was having other repairs done to the house. It sounded different after that but I just thought it was because it was vented differently. I was heating some milk and it ran a couple seconds made a buzzing sound and just stopped. No power to it at all. I do not want another microwave because I love this one and there’s a sentimental value attached to it also.
