Getting dirty dishes

the dishwasher has been a great dishwasher, but like everything, it needs cleaned. We were trying to find a manual with a sigmatic...so like everything to day...you need to buy it.

drying element overheats and leaves dishes too hot after sitting overnight

after 23 years this is the first problem . All cycles and washing work. only the last stage of drying is too hot . Afraid it wll cause a fire. Can the thermostat be changed?
