Answers

  1. How do I find my order ID?

Check your messages for the payment confirmation email containing this information. If you are unable to find your confirmation email, try checking inside your Bulk/Spam/Junk mail folder.

  2. Who are the service manuals intended for?

Most of the service manuals are intended for qualified service technicians who are dealing with this type of appliances on daily basis and possess corresponding level of experience. As such, the service manuals may skip some step-by-step type of instructions usually found in DIY manuals for the general public. Please read and decide if you can service your appliance in the safe manner BEFORE you begin the procedures. Neither this site or the publishers shall be held responsible for ANY damages that may arise from the use of our service or the service manual(s). You must read and agree to our Terms and Conditions before you begin using our service.

  3. Can you recommend any additional literature covering diagnosis of major appliances?

We recommend reading Troubleshooting and Repairing Major Appliances, 720p, Hardcover, published by McGraw-Hill/Tab Electronics. This is a good book to have. It includes step-by-step procedures for testing and replacing appliance parts, provides instructions for reading wiring diagrams and charts with troubleshooting solutions, offers advice on using tools and test meters, and much more. It is up to date and covers both older units with mechanical consoles as well as newer electronically controlled appliances.

  4. I am unable to find my Sears appliance manual. Is it available?

Try searching under the Kenmore brand. It is a Sears' house brand.

  5. My unit is made by Kenmore but the downloaded manual is for another brand (e.g. Whirlpool). Why?

Your unit was really made by another manufacturer, such as Whirlpool, and rebadged as Kenmore. The manual covers its sister Whirlpool-branded model.

  6. The manual that I downloaded is several years older than my appliance. Why?

Once the manufacturer develops a successful platform, it is going to be utilized for many years (10, 20, even 35!) The exterior design and control panels will change to look new; options and features are added or removed; there will be a new iteration of model numbers but the basic design will stay the same.

  7. Can you email me the service manual?

We can only email and host manuals that are in public domain. All other manuals are hosted by their publishers or authorized distributors and cannot be emailed. You will be redirected to a publisher or distributor's website to view the manual.

  8. What is the relationship between AllRepairManuals.com and manufacturers/publishers?

At this time, this site is not sponsored or affiliated by the manufacturer/publishers.

  9. Can I pay you without using a Paypal account?

Absolutely. Click the "Pay Now" button. A Paypal payment window will open. At the bottom there will be an option to pay without openning an account with Paypal. They will act as a one-time payment processor only.

  10. Do you accept checks?

Yes, you can select eCheck option during checkout process. You will be able to download the manual once the check clears. (Note: this is different from ACH transactions. ACH transactions are instanteneous)
